Nicole I. Hamilton is a self taught artist who first discovered she had a gift for drawing at the age of 14. Bored in class one day, she picked up a pencil and started sketching, and surprised herself when the sketch looked like the subject. She has been drawing and improving her technique ever since. Nicole enjoys creating realism, and all her drawings are filled with amazing detail and depth. Her drawings are created with a combination of graphite, charcoal, and occasionally, carbon. While she works primarily with graphite, she will be adding other mediums to her art in the future. People are the primary subject of her pencil art, although she has drawn animals and still life on commission. She says 'I enjoy drawing people the most because I want to be able to capture their emotion in my work. The eyes are my favorite feature to render. This is quite a switch for me since I swore when I started drawing that I would never be able to draw people. Shows what time and practice can do!'
